I am pleased to announce that my debut single „Shine“ is out now and can be streamed now on all streaming platforms.

‚Shine‘ is a joyful and energetic indie-pop track which was created during the darkest winter days in Helsinki. The single breaths like an early summer morning with its light-feathered synths and ethereal background voices. With its shimmering chimes and heartfelt citar this song is inspired by Bilderbuch’s (Austria) laid-back hit „OM“. Like a lighthouse it glims out of the darkness and drives the listener to see that the most optimistic path towards liberation and happiness is always existent. You just need to allow yourself to look out for it.

I wrote ‚Shine‘ on a lonely winter day when the darkness took a toll on me. My dear friends all went home after their semester in Helsinki and it took some time to get accustomed to the new situation. Writing ‚Shine‘ has been a cathartic experience for me as I could turn my shadows to flickering lights. It is a reminder for me to turn dark moments into empowering, uplifting ones.

A couple of songs accompanied me dearly in the process of making this song:

I Wear* Experiment’s Unwind was my anchor as it illustrated so clearly the fresh beginning of summer and is in my view about opening up and seeing the sunrise again. I love how the synths sweep in and out in the track.

The vocal production of Selah Sue’s Pills is fantastic as all the background vocals are sweetly tucked in behind the main vocals like an embrace. This track is about the singer’s personal effect on anti-depressants.

So Wylie’s Talking Easy is a fun, playful track and I liked how punchy the claps sounded.
